The following projects have been requested by various small businesses. If one of these captures your interest, contact your mentor and the contact person in order to discuss it more thoroughly. Whether or not any of these projects is suitable for your capstone project is up to the discretion of your mentor.

Except for the actual reviews getting recorded as submitted, everything else is pretty much done manually - setting up a new page for a host and maintaining the index. As you can guess, there are hosts waiting to be added for months now b/c we don't have the time. site redesign host signs up ( with login to allow edits of contact info) -> hold for approval if approved, automatically appears in index, dynamic page presented from db info review is submitted -> obscenity filter & post to db -> recalculate &update numerical rating review & new rating emailed to admin and host (optional-host can toggle it on/off) ability for host to respond most recent review pulled up on index monthly summary emailed to subscribers and hosts . # host in db . average rating . # total reviews . # reviews added in last month . article

1-2002	kiddinaround.com	Juliana	My Business is kiddinaround.com-unique gifts for children. I have a need of designing new product pages for this site. Another site that I have to promote the Play Tables that we sell is childfriendlybusiness.com. I have been working on a new section of the kiddinaround site that is called celebrating grandparents. These pages are in their infancy, and a student could have the liberty to design them in a manner that could show their style. I have not linked the pages top the site yet, but here is a link to the pages. As far as scripting goes, I am always looking for ways to improve communication with our customers. I would like help in adding scripting to the pages that would make the site more user friendly, and I am open to any ideas for improvement.
1-2002	Pandora Pads	Connie	I would love to have some help with my site. My husband does it and he does not do very much anymore. I am completely html illiterate. We have been using FrontPage and I just got DreamWeaver this weekend. I have not even looked at it yet. I would love to have new buttons on the pages. I would love a complete critique of the site.  I think I would like a whole new look, but would want to see the designers ideas before it went up. I think it needs a white background, not sure. I would like everything that is done to be within my capability to change prices or little things like changing a word here and there. I think no Java, just html. I do change prices and word here and there now, but I don't try to change any other coding.  I also need a page where I can post things that I want to run on special or things that are seasonal items or featured items for the month.

Would like to incorporate a small volume message board feature that would allow people to post questions/answers 2-an ambitious project....setting up a gift registry function 3-Don't like my site? I'm game for a whole redesign of your choice (but with my input if I know something completely won't work for my clientele)...I'd love to have better headings, a different background/color scheme, arrangement of product, set up some side columns to link to/access related product articles, etc.

	Mother's Nature	Paula	Several project needs, not full websites but significant efforts nonetheless: 1) Mother's Nature needs a lactation center. I envision it having Q&A,bulletin boards, chats, just like the rest of the site. I'd also like there to be an article center, with categories, where users could submit articles and the head LC could approve/post them, and a search facility so that finding information is easy. 2). A billing system for our existing 30+ advertising clients, linked into web_adverts. System should auto-email clients when time for advertising renewal, and allow them to "approve charge", "submit new card", "cancel account", etc. 3). I have a site - sling.org - that needs some major work. All it has are a few articles and how-to's. It would be great to see some interactive elements - such as posting reviews on slings, posting sling tips, posting build your own sling instructions, etc. I'd like it to be much broader based than it is.
