The ECO subject 1 tutorials form the building block for later subjects within the course. Subject 1 offers an overview of anatomy, physics, transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography as well as artefact generation.
ECO (Echocardiography & Clinical Ultrasound Online)
The ECO Course (Echocardiography & Clinical Ultrasound Online) comprises of subjects 1-4 and provides training to a moderately advanced level in echocardiography and to an advanced level in vascular access, ultrasound guided nerve blocks and includes other miscellaneous ultrasound applications such as lung ultrasound and FAST. This would be suitable for most medical specialists and especially suited for those practising in the critical care area.
It is expected that subjects are purchased and completed in order as the course instruction builds upon previous knowledge. For the ECO certification, all subjects ECO 1-4 need to be completed and satisfactorily passed.

ECO Subject 2: Ultrasound Guided Procedures
The ECO subject 2 outlines the technique of using ultrasound to guide percutaneous procedures. Procedures will include vessel access, nerve blocks, and trauma related procedures.
ECO Subject 3: Doppler Echocardiography
The ECO subject 3 introduces Doppler Echocardiography to complement basic transthoracic echocardiography imaging.
ECO Subject 4: Ventricular Function
The ECO subject 4 expands the knowledge of transthoracic echocardiography by learning pathophysiology and assessment of ventricular function, including in diastolic function.
ECO Fast Track
The ECO Fast Track is specifically tailored to those who are already proficient in TEE and wish to update their clinical ultrasound and cardiac diagnostic skills. ECO Fast Track incorporates the important building block subjects from Level 1 and Level 2 in one course.
ECO Advanced Level 2 (Echocardiography & Clinical Ultrasound Online)
The focus of ECO Level 2 offers a more advanced application and diagnostic level echocardiography knowledge.

The ECO Advanced subject 5 tutorials introduce building block tutorials related to safety and care of TEE probes. The ECO Advanced subject 6 systematically goes through the advanced assessment of all the valves, including prothetic valve assessment.

The ECO Advanced subject 7 emphasises the application of echocardiography in clinical situations.
ECO Advanced Subject 8: Advanced Echocardiography Interpretation
The ECO Advanced subject 8 integrates all the skills and knowledge learned. This subject offers 50 comprehensive case studies centered on five themes.
